Hearts Afire Student Ministries is an exciting student ministry in east Atlanta. Our desire is to develop students that have a heart that burns with a passion for Jesus Christ. Students involved in the student ministry have an awesome time and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. The student ministry is built around the 3 purposes: Discipleship, Fellowship and Evangelism. We have events and programs built around the needs of both Middle and High school age student.

The Heart

9:30 am upstairs in the Student Area is our Sunday morning small group ministry. We have amazing and dynamic adult small group leaders that have a passion for students and a desire for them to grow in their walk with Christ.

Rock U

Rock U, is our Sunday night student worship service at 6:00pm. Many of the aspects of this ministry is lead by students. Rock U is evangelistic in design and we always encourage students to bring their friends.

Beta is our intensive student discipleship program. This takes place on Wednesday nights from 7-8p. This ministry will challenge students to raise the bar for student discipleship. Epic is a yearlong series devoted to challenging students to grow in Christ and commit to a life of obedience and service. Combined with games and worship, the Bible study is always Christ centered and focused on Scripture. Please call the Church office (770) 483-7628 for more information.

Each summer we plan many exciting events for our students including camps and mission trips. We also plan weekly activities to help our students’ fellowship with one another. For more information about the student ministry here at Rockdale Baptist, please call us at (770) 483-7628. See the student calendar of events below.

Milestones 5 & 6

Commitment to Purity

Each year we have a time to teach about and challenge our young teens about purity. This includes helping parents know how to talk to their children about purity standards and healthy sexuality from God’s perspective. It’s in the Bible, lets talk about it!

High School Graduation

Near the end of the school year we celebrate with families the accomplishment of their graduates. While a time of celebration, we also want it to be a time of blessing. Parents are taught how to write out and give a blessing to their child that they will never forget.
