Preschool (Birth-Kindergarten)

RBC's top priority is to provide a safe and loving environment for Preschoolers. We take seriously the responsibility of nurturing your child and creating learning opportunities for them so they can develop mentally, socially, physically, and spiritually.

We offer Sunday School classes for birth through Kindergarten. The curriculum we use is Lifeway's The Gospel Project. The Gospel Project curriculum also provides an app that allows you the parent to have an easy and fun tool to interact with your child on the Sunday School lesson that week! Simply search for the “gospel project kids” in your App Store to download the free or pay version of the app. (warning: it can be addicting)”

All teachers in the Preschool Department have a love for children, for God and His Word. They are required to have background checks and training to assure the parent that we provide the best teachers for their child.

Sunday Schedule:
Extended Teaching Care - 9:00 am
Sunday School - 10:30 am
Mission U Discipleship - 6:00 pm

Security

Because security is one of our top priorities, parents are required to follow these guidelines:
- Upon entering the preschool area, the parent must:
- Check-in the child at the Preschool Welcome Desk
- Pick up a security card and pager
- Sign the parent location roster
- Should a need arise to locate the parent during worship, you will be paged.
- Preschoolers are to be dropped off and picked up by an adult, not older children. Parent/guardian must present security card to pick-up.

Extended Teaching Care

Extended Teaching Care is a ministry for preschoolers during the 9:00 am worship service.

CWKids for the Kindergarteners

Following CWKids, children will be taken directly to their appropriate Sunday School class on the children’s hallway. If your family is not staying for Sunday School you may pick them up at their Sunday School classroom.

Jumpy House

We know kids need to move and wiggle. For days when the weather just doesn’t cooperate for the playground, we have an indoor Jumpy-House. During the 9 am service, ages toddlers and up get a scheduled time slot to play in the Jumpy. Policies are posted at the door.

Nursery Policies

We recognize that a child’s first impressions of God’s love can come from a good church experience during the first years of life. Please help us provide the optimum care for your child by observing the following:

Every diaper bag must have a completed information tag attached. Tags are available at each classroom. Hall Directors will be glad to assist you.

All items in the bag must be labeled. This included pacifiers, bottles, blankets, toys and clothing. Markers and tape are available in each classroom. Disposable diapers only please.

Infants will be fed bottles and finger foods brought by parents and according to your instructions. Cheerios are provided.

Our teachers are not permitted to administer medication of any kind.

You will be notified by mail if your child is to be promoted to another class. If your child has any food allergies, please notify the teachers in writing. Allergy Alert labels are available in each classroom.

Early Childhood (2 years - Kindergarten)

We provide activities that will help the children focus on Bible concepts. Please do not bring toys from home.  Extra toys can be distracting and cause problems among the children.

A snack of cracker/cookie and juice/water will be provided during Sunday School.  Please notify your child’s teacher in writing of any food allergies.  Because of the other children in the class, we ask that you do not bring other food into the room.

All personal belongings should be labeled (coats, sweaters, Bibles, etc.)  A change of clothing is recommended for children still in diapers or pull ups.

Health Policies (Birth - Kindergarten)

For the protection of your child and other children, please do not bring a child to church who has had any of the following symptoms within the last 24 hours: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, Scarlet Fever, Mumps, Chicken Pox, German Measles, runny nose, cough, croup, sore throat, any unexplained rash or skin infection, boils, ringworms, impetigo pinkeye or other eye infections. Should your child develop an infectious disease (measles, mumps, chicken pox, etc.) following a session in our preschool area, please contact the church office at 770-483-7628 immediately.

Family Milestone 1

Baby Dedication

Each May, Baby Dedication is offered during our morning services. We want to celebrate this happy occasion with parents as they pledge to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
