I'm New

On behalf of our entire church family, I would like to welcome you to Second Baptist Griffin!

We are honored to have you and we trust that your decision to visit or join us has been the result of prayer and your desire to obey God! These are exciting days here at Second, God is working in our hearts and in His church. We pray that you sense that along with our love and gratitude.

Let me encourage, that if you are not yet involved in a Sunday School class, get in one! It is in this critical ministry that you will build lasting friendships, continue to grow in faith, identify ministry opportunities, and truly feel like part of the church family. Also, please be faithful to our Lord with your time, talents and treasure. As a fellowship, we have a wonderful opportunity to “Make A Difference” ...but it takes us all. If you honor God with all that you have, He will honor you!

At Second we offer a helpful tool to all new members to aid them in discovering their “PLACE” in ministry. We know that God has gifted all of His children with specific gifts and abilities in order to fulfill His plan for their lives, and we want to equip you with that knowledge as soon as you become a member so that you can get plugged into body life from the start. Mrs. Renee Peters, our Assimilation Minister, can help you get started with either a take home assessment booklet or an online workshop that can also be completed at home.
